Day 29 – The Zombie Apocalypse

Well it’s been a week since we made our break.  We got everything loaded and got out, at least most of us.  The old man didn’t make it.  Everyone was loading up in our vehicles and a “crawler” that’s what I call the ones missing the bottom half of their body emerged from underneath his truck and grabbed his leg pulling him to the ground and biting his calf.  After that it was all over.  The remaining zombies swarmed him.  While they were busy with him we made our break.  Yesterday we picked up a 19 yr old girl and her grandmother.  They are riding with the lady and her child.  We made a few stops, raided about 5 gas cans for each vehicle and filled them up as back ups if we find the pumps no longer working.  I got some tubing for siphoning as well so when it comes to that point we can at least get gas out of other abandoned vehicles.  We are headed south slowly making our way to find my kids.  I only hope we are in time.

I like this piece, it is short, but creative, and kind of reminds me of Zombie shows that my brothers have forced me to watch lol.
