Love Lost

Love Lost

By Robert M. Nelson II

She lived so far from me,

I loved her still,

with everything in me.

I crossed the air,

to feel her touch.

Wanting, waiting,

the touch of her skin,

was almost too much.

Then together at last,

but hardship arose.

Pushing us away,

though in one house

we were so close.

The pain and hurt feelings,

and anger came to bare.

Decisions made,

no feelings were spared.

We lost our love

during those times of tears.

Can we find our way back?

Hopefully yes though,

the worse I may fear.

We have a love lost,

but like anything else,

that love can be found,

if I am true to myself.
